About Packetra
Packetra is a privacy-focused hosting provider built by a small team with more than a decade of experience in the hosting industry. The company launched publicly in January 2026 after a beta phase with privacy-minded customers, and it is not venture-capital funded.
- Honest hosting: No “unlimited everything” promises and no overcrowded servers.
- Privacy first: Minimal personal information is required, cryptocurrency is accepted, and servers sit in privacy-friendly jurisdictions.
- Real support: Tickets are answered 24/7 by the team that runs the infrastructure, not by a scripted outsourced desk.
- Green datacenters: Packetra works with green-energy datacenters.
- Products: Shared hosting, WordPress hosting, Cloud VPS and dedicated servers in Finland and Switzerland.
Switzerland servers can also be upgraded after purchase: extra IPs, disk or RAM can be added to an existing server, and your recurring price adjusts by the difference.
Payment Information
Packetra supports both cryptocurrency and fiat payments, so you can choose between maximum privacy and convenience.
- Bitcoin (BTC) and Monero (XMR): Processed through Packetra’s own self-hosted BTCPay Server, with no third-party payment gateway in between.
- Other cryptocurrencies: Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Dogecoin, Solana, Ripple, USDC and USDT (ERC-20 and TRC-20) via CoinPayments.
- Wise: Pay by bank, card or Wise balance through a hosted payment link, or request direct bank transfer details from billing.
- PayPal: Available for customers who prefer it.
- Credit or debit card: A direct card payment link can be requested from the billing team, with no PayPal account needed.
- Refunds: Cryptocurrency payments cannot be reversed to the original wallet, so eligible refunds are issued as account credit.
